Title chase takes a major turn for the noisy neighborsrs

We all say a lot of mind games being played by both managers who are fighting to win this times premier league title , they've both had ups and downs together , just like getting knocked out of the UEFA champions league and then the Europa league. The premier league is the only competition where they can win the lost respect. Today , Martin O'Neil's Sunderland played some good football to hold roberto mancini's side for a draw at the etihad stadium , if United win their next game against blackburn rovers who beat them 3-2 at old trafford last time they met this season, they will go 5 points clear of mancini's side which will then ease the pressure of Sir alex and his boys. A great chance for United. Will they make most of this opportunity ? or Will history repeat itself and we might see a weak united side ?
Another major turn took place in the fight for the UCL spot when Arsene wenger's side lost to queens park rangers and have given tottenham hotspurs a chance to take the lead , chelsea have secured 3 points by defeating aston villa and are now 5 points behind arsenal. At the end of this Gameweek (31) we might just a see a lot of changes in the league table and positions , a very very interesting turn of events !

  1. Looking at Chelsea's comeback and Arsenal slip to the myth that they crumble under pressure, United still holding up and Man City losing its ground, the season sure is interesting. Funnily enough Torres seems to have woken up from his slumber while Mancini's men have gone to sleep! Fulham and QPR's performance this week was beyond astounding Chelsea surprised me too. Spurs have the potential to be in top 4 and may do a good job of it too. I wonder where in this football madness Liverpool disappeared...They were after all among the BIG FOUR at one time. 7 matches and things couldn't be more be more excruciating and although United do seem like they will lift the silverware for the 20th time, looking at the present scenario i pretty much think its still unpredictable!

    3. I told you, just trying the comment out. Can't you see my comment? Wait ill copy paste.Third fourth place is more interesting. Arsenal and Spurs are teams which go from the sublime to the ridiculous in the blink of an eye. Chelsea still have a chance, although its gonna be difficult. This will be set up nicely, and I think Arsenal will overcome this minor blip and take third, purely on the merit of recent form. fourth? Erm...I back Chelsea. Di Matteo may not be permanent, but he's got something. Torres in form, seniors happy - this may work out!

  3. It's funny to have noticed now but Torres has been in form since the start, it's just a narrow minded outlook seeing him as just a scorer , Torres has provided 14 assists this season and his goal scoring rejuvenated against Leicester city already , talking about Chelsea , it's good to see them coming back in form but beating a villa side which is 15th on the table doesn't seem to be quite a break through they lost a chance to prove themselves against tottenham hotspurs where they were quite weak. Arsenal saw one lossin 8 games so we can't narrow their chances at all , in the current football situation I would like to see newcastle united in the champions league it would be surprise to the football world , frankly Chelsea don't deserve to be in the top 4 as their football has been very weak , Liverpool fans are surviving on the mere fact that they play well against big teams but they forget that in BPL each team plays against 19 different teams, good or bad. But king kenny's efforts haven't gone unnoticed when they won the curling cup . The turning point can also be the arsenal-city match at emirates that will decide the fate of these two teams to a great extent

    1. Chelsea don't deserve to be there. They've been boring, weak, uninspiring and average. Arsenal will make it..Newcastle..Err..now thats an outside chance.
And I have a feeling Arsenal will win that one.
torres has been impressive for a while now, I agree. But he's begun to find the back of the net more regularly, that's important. Not just now, but in the long term for Chelsea. he looks a different player now, and thats the confidence. City have to go to the Emirates, and don't forget this - Carrow Road. Not an easy trip. And they have to get full points on both trips, I don't see that happening on current form. And this isn't new, they've been lacklustre away from home since new years.

    2. Don't you guys underestimate Chelsea and Man city way too much?
And Newcastle may seem like an interesting though unlikely entry. How about switching the debate to the one thing i respect most about SAF, he's a constant for longer than few clubs have been! Although I'm a Chelsea supporter, 6 managers in 6 seasons? you've got to be kidding me on that one!

    3. Torres was bought in to score goals. Ya, he has contributed with assists but still. There are others to do that. Chelsea desperately need a winger

    4. Currently in a Chelsea side , dear viraj , u have Drogba and sturridge to score goals with kalou but I guess you have mereiles as a playmaker with essien but both of them aren't in great shape nor is lampard at the top of his game , so who shall be the play maker to the goal , on one side mata is there and on the other is Torres , so if you haven't noticed as yet Torres is a shadow striker and not a goal scorer that's a fact you should take notice of before criticising him , and Chelsea don't need a winger when they have mata kalou and malouda playing on wings , Chelsea will heal with time

    5. No chelsea don't need a winger yet, if they play this 4-2-3-1. If they play with a true winger, they leave themselves exposed in the centre, and we saw how Arsenal ripped them apart at the bridge. They can't do that.
What they need to do is change their formation, play 2 up front an a four man midfield and THEN bring in a winger.

  4. Man you're good! but you think too much. I actually kind of like Spurs ka game. They really have potential i feel

  5. They're inconsistent. And ever since the Redknapp England job thing came up, they've been screwing up. Why is Redknapp trying to change formations Now, when they've worked all season. With Saha and stuff?
It worked against Newcastle, but united saw it off!

  6. Inconsistent? I'd say they are dicey. You cannot negate them for that though...they do have tremendous potential and the way they have played last 2 seasons, i would like to see them in the top 4 someday though im not quite sure which team i would remove from the BIG FOUR to give them a spot :S

  7. Umm I think ul have forgotten that newcastle and Chelsea have technically same points and Newcastle are in better shape so dear chelsea fan and 'err Newcastle' no offence but how am I wrong in thinking they won't make it if people can believe in Chelsea as yet ? As for spurs I just agree with you aritra , Saha was an unneeded transfer , he was better at everton
