Playing Mind Games ....

On this blog it will be my duty to talk about every interesting scenario happening in the football world. So why not talk about Patrick Viera and Sir alex ferguson !
Its shocking that as soon as city posed their first comment about sir alex and his side, Rafael benitez commented saying that,"mind games will not help city." Sir alex is one of the most reputed and experienced manger in football , by giving a title of 'desperation' seems like entering the lions den. keeping aside the fact that i am a united fan , it is still wrong if bringing back one of the best midfielders  is called desperation when on the contrary viera and mancini forget that, 2 weeks back on wednesday , city won the match because of a lovely piece of footwork by carlos tevez , who , according to mancini wasn't  gonna play for the club , ever again. If bringing back scholes is desperation  I'm sure that bringing back tevez is no less

The second argument was the worst vier a could come up with , frankly , when claimed that united don't deserve the title because in the match against fulham , a last minute penalty was not given ! I would suggest viera to see the highlights tottenham vs manchester city , in which mario balotelli  was not sent off for stamping scott parker , city went on to win that match

City, will have to play good football to win the league and not mind-games moreover , it seems that they are failing to do so , with two consecutive draws when both were predicted as 'easy pickings' for them. United on the other hand are looking dominant , it will be interesting to watch the reverse fixture on monday against blackburn , it will be a healthy match where both managers are supporting each other in their respective controversies , for me , i would go with a 2-0 victory for united. Roberto mancini's men have to rejuvenate  to get their hopes back or else they will see a trophy less  season.

The premier league situation right now reminds me of the classic 'Hare and the Tortoise Race' with roberto mancini taking a splendid lead a]in the start and convincing the fans that it is their season , but one thing united have learnt with the commence of sir alex is patience . So will the noisy neighbors rise up or will the united fans BEL20VE ?

Title chase takes a major turn for the noisy neighborsrs

We all say a lot of mind games being played by both managers who are fighting to win this times premier league title , they've both had ups and downs together , just like getting knocked out of the UEFA champions league and then the Europa league. The premier league is the only competition where they can win the lost respect. Today , Martin O'Neil's Sunderland played some good football to hold roberto mancini's side for a draw at the etihad stadium , if United win their next game against blackburn rovers who beat them 3-2 at old trafford last time they met this season, they will go 5 points clear of mancini's side which will then ease the pressure of Sir alex and his boys. A great chance for United. Will they make most of this opportunity ? or Will history repeat itself and we might see a weak united side ?
Another major turn took place in the fight for the UCL spot when Arsene wenger's side lost to queens park rangers and have given tottenham hotspurs a chance to take the lead , chelsea have secured 3 points by defeating aston villa and are now 5 points behind arsenal. At the end of this Gameweek (31) we might just a see a lot of changes in the league table and positions , a very very interesting turn of events !

Cut-throat competition

                   CUT-THROAT COMPETITION

Its by far the best premier league season i have seen , cut throat competition for the manchester teams fighting to win where sir alex wants to prove that his experience turned a season which was low in the start for his team and now is aiming for the team's 20th premiere league title , on the other hand roberto mancini looks to prove to the world that his side are a force to be reckoned with and gradually 'manchester city' is coming out of the shadow and looks to become one of the dominant forces in football. Apart from these teams , Arsene Wenger has given the arsenal fans a new reason to have faith in him by winning his last 7 matches in the premier league and he is on the verge of securing a safe spot in the next year's champions league, below arsenal are tottenham hotspurs 5 points clear of the controversial chelsea side who are also equal to Alan Pardew's newcastle who rose above the expectations of the people and are having a great season. Even the bottom half of the BPL is quite interesting this season with wigan and QPR along with wolves are fighting to get out of the relegation zone with bolton and aston villa just above them , there is competition all over the league table and with only 8 games to go the pressure is rising.

so will we it be sir alex and his men to lift the trophy for the 20th time ? or will mancini's men prove to the world they are one of the dominant forces now ? it is a two horse race and i would always bet on the horse with more experience ;)
